We're back! Sorry if I didn't post an away notice, I was too busy planning for this trip, woops!

Anyway, guess what Zapdos and I have? An egg! But not just any egg, it's a real Skarmory egg, teeheehee!, THE genuine metallic bird Pokemon!

That was a trip let me tell you! I had to capture a pair of parents, and then we left them in the shelter this Sunday while we tended our wounds. This morning there was an egg, so I released the parents and came here.

So I guess now I just have to walk around with him until it cracks open right? That's what the breeding books seemed to imply...Pokemon morphology is so weird.

Anyway, who want to help me think of names if it's a boy or a girl?

I'm gonna be a mom.

Oh, so that's where you went! I've never seen a Pokemon hatch before. You'd better tell me when it starts to happen! Can I see the egg? Which Pokemon is Skarmory? There's so many of them to memorize I get mixed up now and then...

I've never seen one hatch either, but the guide makes it seem like I have to walk around with it for a while and it will just...happen. There's no text about applying heat to it or leaving it in an incubator.

But that's not all! Apparently humans have never see Pokemon lay eggs. They even tried filming them a few years ago and nothing developed. How would they even know things like breeding groups then? That is so weird.

Yeah! They don't hatch metallic, however. Believe it or not, they turn metallic because their homes are so sharp and dangerous.

It means I'm going to have to be somewhat cruel to it during the first few months on purpose or else it will just be very soft. Kinda backwards on everything, isn't it?

I have food (bird pellets and gunpowder), I've got everything to keep him around when he hatches (I've made him a badass roost and also in my hair)

And separate a couple?! Aren't most birds that don't migrate monogamous? How would you like it if I just barged in and stole your wife.
